What is SHIDOIN?

Shidoin is the official certification in the Uechiryu Butoukai(sm) for Assistant Instructors.

Training for Shidoin’s is similar to S.T.O.R.M.

All candidates for the Shidoin certification must have be at least a Level One Junior Black Belt or Shodan, and have been assisting with classes for at least two years.

These certifications must be renewed every year, with a minimum ten hours of seminar training. Training for Shidoin’s is similar to S.T.O.R.M. and includes:

  • Weekly Training classes

  • Weekly Instructional Material

  • Automatic enrollment to our quarterly Training seminars with guest instructors (normally $65 each)

  • Automatic enrollment of Sunday and Saturday’s UechiCon training.

  • Automatic enrollment to our Uechi Invitational Tournament
