What is a Shihan?

Shihan is the official certification in the Uechiryu Butokukai(sm) for Instructors. These instructors have the rank of Godan or above, who’s ten ears plus of experience is only matched by their enthusiasm.

Training for the certification is similar to the instructor’s training that we have used in the past, and includes.

  • Weekly Training classes 

  • Weekly Instructional material

  • Quarterly Training Seminars 

  • Uechi Invitational Tournament Donation (for the Shihan to participate)

  • UechiCon full weekend of training 

  • NEMAF Banquet Donation (enough for Shihan and a guest)

  • Access to Terabytes of Photos and Video material for Shihans to help assist in upcoming events.

  • THOSE WHO DARE TO TEACH MUST NEVER CEASE TO LEARN.
